Samsung Monitor

Samsung has always been one of the premiere companies in LCD monitor technology. In fact, it was Samsung that first developed the color LCD monitor fifteen years ago.

They continue to be a little bit ahead of their competition, and you'll often find that their monitors are a slight step ahead in one area. Fortunately, that one step is often price, as they have worked out a way to produce the same product for less. Samsung provides high-quality monitors, and those monitors are usually the lowest price available for monitors of that size. Note, though, that the monitors are often not quite as powerful in other ways as comparable monitors. Still, a Samsung Monitor will be sufficient for almost any need.

HDTV Monitors

One area where Samsung has done a very good job at keeping up with its competition is with what are usually called "TV monitors". These are monitors designed to look and feel like television sets, particularly high definition television sets. They have the minimum 1080p required for high definition BluRay viewing, and they focus on keeping high contrast ratios with especially strong colours. Some of their models are even designed to look like television sets, including round corners and bases that mimic those of a TV screen. Energy Savings

Another area where Samsung excels is in producing monitors that don't use a lot of energy. As Samsung are the original producers of LCD technology, they've continued to focus on creating flatter and flatter screens. Of course, for the purpose of use, screens are already as flat as they need to be. However, the flatter the screen, the lower the energy consumption of the monitor. As a result, Samsung monitors are currently some of the best in terms of energy consumption on the market today. They manage to keep the brightness and contrast ratios without a corresponding increase in price. For those concerned about energy savings for financial and environmental reasons, Samsung monitors are a great option.

3D Monitors

In 2009, Samsung moved into the world of 3D monitors for 3D gaming. This also comes just in time for the new wave of 3D films soon to be release on BluRay like Clash of the Titans. They collaborated with NVIDIA to be able to produce monitors that can handle the 3D video cards that are now compatible with many popular games, including newer games and even older games like World of Warcraft. Of course, many monitors can use 3D technology, but the Samsung 2233RZ is designed to do so with a minimal loss of graphical quality. In general, you lose half of your image quality (or more) when using 3D gaming. However, with this monitor, the lost image quality is greatly reduced. It's rare to see a monitor specifically designed for a new technology, and this is one of the more exciting ventures of any monitor company in the past few years.
